Annabel Biro was born and raised in London, Ontario. She graduated from the H.B. Beal Art Program and continued her artistic endeavours at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. In 2017 she received a BFA from NSCAD University with a major in Ceramics and minor in Art History. During her time at NSCAD she was awarded the Professor David B. Smith Creative Innovators of Tomorrow Scholarship, the 2016 Medalta Student Residency Award and was the Ceramics Starfish finalist for 2017. Following graduating, Annabel was the Nova Scotia regional winner for the BMO 1st Art Competition 2017. 

Annabel has taught numerous youth ceramic classes and always loves the opportunity to encourage creativity. She has had the opportunity to participate in artist residencies across Canada and internationally. This includes the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts Residency in BC, the Centre for Craft Nova Scotia Residency in Nova Scotia and the Arquetopia International Artist Residency in Puebla Mexico.
